How to Murder a Rich Uncle

This 1957 macabre humor film features Charles Coburn, Wendy Hiller, Nigel Patrick, and a young Michael Caine.  A declining British aristocratic clan invites their rich American uncle for a visit, for the purposes of killing him and confiscating his fortune.  As the bumbling uncle unwittingly avoids each of the carefully placed death traps, more and more of the family members expire in various gruesome ways.  The quick, deadpan humor and the nonchalantness with which the characters approach the grisly events will catch you off guard at first, but you’ll soon catch on with the rhythm of the plot.
